The weaves
What makes each one different
Georgette
Fluidly elegant drape crafted from finely twisted yarns to produce a crinkled texture with a softl puckered surface.
Korvai
A contrast border woven and interlocked with the body on the loom, so the two colours meet in the weave itself, not in a seam.
Kanchi cotton
Fine 120-count cotton in the Kanchipuram tradition: light enough for every day, with checks, buttas and bold contrast borders.
Pashmina
Soft Mashru fabric carrying woven Baluchari-style motifs, a Bengal tradition known for its storytelling pallus.
Ajrakh
Resist block printing from Kutch and Sindh, built up layer by layer with carved blocks, here on modal silk with a Kanchi-style border.

How do I choose the right saree for me?
There is no one right saree. Think about where you’re wearing it and how you want to feel. From easy, breathable cottons to more fluid silks, each Anavadhya saree is chosen to give you room to make it your own.
Will the saree look exactly like it does on my screen?
We photograph our sarees to represent their colours and details as accurately as possible. However, colours can appear slightly different depending on your screen and lighting.
Why might my saree have slight irregularities?
An Anavadhya saree is not meant to look machine-made. Small variations in weave, texture, print or colour can occur in handcrafted textiles. These are natural characteristics of the making process and make each saree uniquely yours.
Will my saree bleed colour?
Some handloom and hand-block printed sarees may release colour, particularly during their first few washes. This is a natural characteristic of certain dyes and printing techniques. We recommend following our care instructions to preserve your saree beautifully.
I’ve never worn a saree before. Can I still buy one from Anavadhya?
Absolutely! We want you to explore.
Start with the drape, styling and comfort that feel natural to you.
Care Instructions
Please read the care instructions provided in our website. You’ll find them on every saree’s page, under Care.
Return Policy
We understand, sometimes things go wrong!
Please read the Returns: Damaged Product Policy.
How long is each saree?
Every saree is a full 6 metres.
What is the in-skirt add-on?
A matching in-skirt is available with every saree, in stretchable cotton or regular cotton.
